A Point To Make
I have done a lot of writing over the years, both professionally, and as a student and amateur. One thing I have always found is that constructive criticism is a big help. This helps to polish and edit a piece, so that it makes sense, tells a story well, gives clear instructions, or whatever the case may be. That being said, I have noticed that most of the intel screening being done, is not done with the intent to offer anything useful to the contributor in the way of making the article or intel better. Most of what I have seen has been rather insulting, actually. Now when I do a screening, I try to offer some form of critique, so the contributor has an idea what they could do to improve the article. If there was something I really liked about it, I share that too. True, sometimes, there just isn't anything that can be said, it is either so good or so bad. Usually however, something can be contributed to the writer, other than a lousy score, which doesn't do anything at all for the writer at all. Let the writer know what you are looking for! So as a suggestion for future screenings, please consider this; Give a comment that lets the contributor know what you thought was wrong, and what you thought was right with the intel you just screened. This will make everything better for all of us.

Additional note for those who offered a response. First, I say think you. Second, I say it is a good thing to offer what you didn't like AND what you did like about what your read. This gives the author the opportunity to know what the reader is looking for, and to improve in that area. That is how writers learn and grow, in order to provide better intel, and creativity.
